Love Korean air. Every seat has this tv in it. You can choose around 40 movies, games, music and also can watch your flight and shop. Can't wait to get home but at least they make me happy on the flight. Oh btw they gave us haggen daas (spell?) ice cream after lunch as well as beer and wine.

We are now in Korea

Well I just wanted to give the results to anyone that took the time to vote in our poll.

Of the choices the only thing that happened during our trip was:

We get sick on some weird food
and
Becky leaves shop keepers feeling they got ripped off

Thanks for voting!

Last morning in hong kong we are leaving for the airport in 15 minutes. Have a 5 hour flight 3 hour layover then another 15 hour flight. It's 8 am on Friday here right now. Crossing the international date line we pick up a day so should be in JFK Friday night at 9 pm then customs and a 3.5 hour drive home. See you all soon!

Life is great!

Love hong kong. Sell the house ship the dog we are staying here!! Lol!!

The sun setting on our last day in Hong Kong. This place is awesome. This place is like China meets Vegas. I'm glad they saved the best for last. Much more peaceful and relaxing here.
We leave for airport in the morning but won't get home till late Friday night. See ya!

Pano from the harbor at night. The laser show was awesome. I was shocked when they announced the sponsors of the nightly show and massmutual is one. Didn't even know we had any presence here. Went to Victoria peak today. Highest point in hong kong. Very beautiful. Though it's hazy it's wonderful. It rained heavy for a full week until the hour we arrived it cleared up. Seems the same thing has happened in every city we went to. They say our group is lucky. Yay!!

Crossing the ocean in a ferry... Off in the distance through the fog an island appeared... Slowly growing louder we could hear the chanting...
kong... kong... kong... Kong!
(we reached hong kong..)

Li river

Caught this vendor taking a snooze yesterday. We know how she feels. After 4 hours of sleep we are off to the airport for a 1 hour flight then a 2 hour bus ride then a 2 hour ferry then we'll be in hong kong. Have to go through customs twice today too. I don't know how any of the older passengers are doing this. We are totally wiped out!!!

It's dinnertime!!

Yangtze river cruise

We've had not Internet for awhile because we have been on a river cruise.

Took a 4 day cruise down the yangtze river. After the cruise we flew to Guilin Now we took a day and went down the li river. It was unbelievable. They dropped us off in a tourist trap town and we are just waiting to be picked up. Souvenirs are surprisingly expensive though everything is made in china. We are coming home with pics and memories. See you all soon!!

Alan and I skipped the group dinner last night and explored Xian. We were the only westerners walking around. We were treated very well and spoke with some very nice people. Quite an interesting city. More " in need of repair" than Beijing and shanghai but the people are still just as pleasant. We met up with some of our group and saw a malaysian show. After a couple of hours of sleep we are now on our way to the airport for a 1 hour flight then a 7 hour bus ride then onto a 4 day cruise. Will not have Internet for at least that long. Will keep storing pics and posts with the phone and send when we can. Hope all is well with everyone!

Life is great!

City of Xi'an

Guy trying to sell us all mini Terracotta warriors at some factory tour. And telling us all of the great quality that his is.

This is 1 pit of the terra-cotta soldiers. The size of the place is just immense. To think these were created over 2000 years ago and kept a secret until 1974. This is still an active archeological site and there were teams of people digging and reconstructing while we were there. Wow!
